A week as a studio

We signed up as a studio on our own test environment and used Tinderbox Works for real. This release is what we ran into: a place to start (Plan › Next steps and Home), work items you can shape, demos and launch files in one spot, a pickup order for AI Agent tasks, and no Claude in the text wherever AI help is off.

Recorded from build 0.26.0 by Claude Code

New

Plan › Next steps.

The plan opens on what's ready to pick up, in order. Every step has a button to the screen where you do it, Mark done, and See it on the map. The tech tree is the second tab. Home shows the same next steps, with the demos to check and the reports to prioritise.

Work items in your words.

Edit a report's title and description, add comments, and remove it with a reason: a duplicate, won't fix, can't reproduce, not a bug, works as intended, or your own words. All reports finds anything by status, kind, priority, words or #number, and Bring back to New undoes a removal. The backlog has New bug and New feature buttons; intake sorts by dragging reports into priority lanes.

The pickup order is yours.

Drag AI Agent tasks to set the order your Claude Code picks them up in, and drop one on the bin to discard it. Asking for the same task twice keeps the one that's already open, so buttons like Map your communities show it's scheduled.

Your launch files in one place.

The press kit, the Steam page and the website each have their slots: logos, key art, a layered capsule, screenshots with and without UI, every Steam capsule at Steam's sizes, library art and art style references. You pick the demos the press kit shows, and the public press kit offers the files to download.

Demos without a work item.

A demo can show the game itself, or one or more work items you find by search. Each demo has its own page with full-screen playback, edit and approve, and Improve with Claude Code to send feedback for a new recording. Reports and demos link to each other.

Game settings.

AI help moved to the game it belongs to, next to the game's name and colour. Owners can delete a game they no longer work on. A new game takes your studio's name, so you don't type it again.

Changed

F9 reporting, as a picture.

Connect shows how it works: the game, a tester pressing F9, the report, Tinderbox Works, your backlog. Without AI help you get a step-by-step guide and the OpenAPI file for the reporting endpoints.

No Claude where AI help is off.

Plan step texts, the welcome's Why and How it works, the store and launch pages and the creators' mails now follow your AI help. The welcome asks how you work first, and holds the game profile and the plan's switches.

A website, by hand.

The website page now says what a good game site does (the wishlist button first), how to get a domain, pick a builder and set DNS, and gives you the hero, about, features and press text from your profile and press kit to copy.

Dev logs in Markdown, with a preview.

Write and Preview tabs; drag a demo from the materials into the text and it shows in place.

Content creators.

Add and edit creators by hand. The mail panel has copy buttons on every field, scrolls long mails, stays editable after approval, and no longer says Drafted by Claude Code on a mail you wrote.

Signing out signs you out.

Signing out on the account page now signs you out of the app too, and Sign out sits next to your password and passkey settings.
